I got a new job in a whole new career. I started some new medicine. I dove into some new hobbies. I like to think I got my life in order. 

I’ve still been reading and annotating books, but I’ve stopped writing my usual insanely long analyses. It’s been kind of nice to just read.

It’s that simple. I no longer work in a writing-centric field, and I feel as if I lost some of my passion — a passion I’ve held onto since I was just a little girl. This blog always allowed me to explore that passion without the weight of an editor or grammar rules or any type of structure.

I won’t be returning to those 10k analyses. They were too much work and became a chore. So, I’ll stick to standard reviews and ramblings — think more like bullet lists rather than coherent paragraphs lol. I also want to do weekly updates on what I’m reading, what I’ve been crocheting and where I’ve been hiking. Life stuff. 

I got back into photography over the last couple years, so I’d love to share some of my photographs, as well. I recently started diving into film photography, which has been a PROCESS.

Another thing I’d like to get into is being consistent with creative writing. I’ve still been writing a book (30k words and counting — woooo!). Maybe I’ll do monthly or bi-weekly word prompts centered around the WIP to keep myself writing. I’m just always so nervous to share pieces of it because it has so much of my heart. Creative writing is way different than book reviews. It’s easy to structure a book review, but a story or poem is more personal. A piece of you in every word. (This is me asking you to be kind to me.
